President of France, Monsieur Jacques Chirac, before we are three weeks old.

Friends,
You moved our hearts with the beauty of your One Mind One Voice message. A New Humanity is emerging indeed, tenderly fragile but ever so strong like a wild flower in the midst of arid lands, and it will overcome cynism, and despair, greed and hatred, because it is ancient as the whim that brought forth the Universe to celebrate being. I share with you below another little candle lit in Puerto Rico. May all these fires of hope merge that we can have ourselves back again, whole, loving and compassionate. Let us keep in touch. From 12th to 14th August, 2002 the Conference Peace in Peacetime was held in Puerto Rico sponsored by the Arias Foundation for Peace and Human Progress and the Senate of Puerto Rico.
The event gathered together people from all walks of life, singers, Nobel Prize winners, writers, economists, painters, tv producers, journalists, jurists, academicians and sportsmen with a sole purpose in mind, to connect the streams of love and understanding that exist in the world and which are the only hope for the change that humanity is waiting for.
The Conference made a call, from the depths of the human heart, for sanity and sensibility. Now that we hear our leaders beating the drums of war and inciting the masses through the media to fear and hatred, this Declaration (see attachement) comes as a healing balm for the soul, to help us maintain our faith in the noblest aspects of humanity that will grow from the ruins of this age of indifference and greed and bloom into a New Humanity bound by peace and love. Please join us in this Declaration by following the instructions at the bottom of the page.Let us all express our wholehearted commitement to the caravan of the New Humanity.

After reading the emails a few times,
It struck me as being very important group of people and as I looked at the first nameOscar Arias Peace Nobel Prize 1987 Costa Rica. What I have learnt about Oscar is
The New York Times reported that Oscar Arias' "...positions on Central American issues have become the standards by which many people in Congress and elsewhere have come to judge United States policy."
Then I found this on the oficial Government of India site that made me realise how important this meeting and the people involved were.

The fact that our little One Mind One Voice poem and movie could move these sort of hearts, speaks volumes.
After exchanging a couple of emails with Arsenio (not sure if his father was the famous singer will have to ask or do a search through goggle)

The messages in your web page are in complete harmony with the feelings that we are sharing and the longings that we have to reconnect again in a celebration of this fantastic miracle of being. With all its ups and downs life is awesome. We have gradually lost contact with the magic of our existence and become enamoured with the also fantastic creations of our minds, echoes of that original whimsical creativity which set on the beauty. And now we must reconnect with ourselves.
We are joining your message of One Mind One Voice you are joining our message of New Humanity, we are speaking the same language of the heart.
I am enclosing an appeal which is now being circulated to all present at the Conference in Puerto Rico and beyond, based on the principles of the New Humanity. I will pass your message to Ricky Martin at the first opportunity of contact. At present he is recording a new album and out of sight. I am sure he would love to do something with your poem and song. What we need is to get the world singing your song.

I can't show you the appeal that is being sent to Bush and Blair, better wait till they have it, but I can tell you I am very proud to have my name on it with other peacemakers from around the world.
Today we are just three weeks old. Who says we can't change the world!
