One Week at a Time
Reflections
25th September 2002
You know what it is like when you move to a new place. You spend lots of time deciding what you will keep, what you will give away or throw out. Then you spend lots of time unpacking and putting things in the new place.
You also like I have been.
Reflect back over the past few years. As I work on getting the One Mind One Voice site up and try a few new things I have wanted to do for ages.
I found with surprise that the worst page on the old www.queenslandgovernment.com site was the page where my own poems where displayed.
Somehow my poems and artwork were the last thing I would worry about. I always found there was other far more important things to do or put up on the website.
Like our Royal Commission into "Funny Business" which I am pleased to say, is well on the way to completion and being presented on the 19th December, when I feel all hell will break loose.
I noticed a very interesting article in the last Weekend Australian, which added more weight to the truth of Secret Women's Business
While I am busy getting things sorted out so Philip Charlier and his band of merry men sorry(persons) can take over the old government site. Something's will go over to them, so there is a history of how the site started etc. Links to One Mind One Voice of course.
But on reflections, what I am going to do is.
Declare all positions in the old government now vacant.
That way a whole new approach can take place, who knows as it is the queenslandgovernment it may be better if all Ministers live in Queensland. That's for the new broom and new government to work out. Keeping it to local politics could be fun for Philip and more worry for some others.
So many things on the old site are personal, like my mum who was one of our Governors. She has done as much travelling around as any Governor and she managed this on her pension not our government budget. She is happy to just be Caitlin's Great Grandmother from now on.
She will just be happy and proud just to be my mum and to see my poems better displayed.
The one thing I will be continuing to do. I will be very proud and honoured to receive Commissioner David Seldon's report into "Funny Business" one of the really good things I have done, was to give the domain name www.secretwomensbusiness.com.au which I owned to the Ngarindjeri women from South Australia.
Where I will be displaying the report for them as soon as we have it and I build the site for them.
To the Ngarindjeri women I say.
"We all sit in the circle and suppose, and the secret sits in the circle and knows"
Today as I reflect on the past and the present, working on my poems and artwork.
I thank the women of the Ngarrindjeri group for linking their name with mine. Like so many involved in what we am doing, we have never met, we are just One Mind One Voice, a Family of Humanity. I will be very proud to make pubic for them
"Funny Business"
While we wait for the report to arrive you may like to check out, my Letter of Patent and David's Selden's Term's of Reference.
You may also like to see our new Reflections area. Later I will work out how to put music in there for you. Enjoy!
Or Remember instead, the child you use to be. Pop in and help Caitlin try to put the world back together. She is having trouble with this and needs a hand.
Yes Mum I am fixing up my Poems
