One Week at a Time

One Mind One Voice, One Week

18th September 2002 I hope you have all been to visit the site and watch the One Mind One Voice Movie if you haven't, please take the time.
It is very special.
I know the website is being talked about in all corners of the world,

Claudine wrote it's fantastic, I love it, please, please send it to all politicians, regards, claudine.
You should know by now that politicians, kings and queens and everyone in between will hear about One Mind One Voice, maybe not today, but they will all hear!

Over a few weeks Yahya had sent me little bits of the movie to look at. I had already listened to the music many times- but nothing prepared me for the finished product.
Nothing prepared me for the impact that combining Ofir, Yahya and myself. Nothing more than a desire to make a difference in the world.
Three people from three very different places, but so very much alike. What is it, that makes us able to understand so well the words of my poem.
Nothing could prepare me for the fact that the words Yahya decided to put in the credits and start of the movie, where the words I would have picked myself to used.
I have learnt this week the reason.
Money or religion was never an issue. We never once thought what's in this for US. We have a common goal -to make it a better world for Caitlin and all other children.
The promise I made - but you realised- was a goal we could achieve, before Caitlin is 15 years old in---- how many years? Did you notice the clock on the front page of the website.? It is to remind us how we are doing and how much time we have left.
It is not two years since we started our virtual government. It is only two years since I meet Sir Chris who again has just made a space for the new website and hooked it up, while very busy.
It is not two years since I met via the net, "grumblebum", Christopher My Hero.
A year ago I met the talented Yahya and it's only a few months since I met Ofir.
It has been many many years that I have had a wonderful group of loyal friends and supporters who believed in me and my vision. Some go back nearly twenty years one, their whole life time.
We have a new website One Mind One Voice that I am very proud of ! Best of all, after a lot of grumbling from Christopher in England, as he watched me build it, he had to admit he thought it was wonderful. Lucky you can't see my HTML coding at the back. I made a wonderful discovery.

I had changed from an Activist, Larrikin Premier, to Artist, Poet, Writer.
I can achieve all the same things, just a different way.
WE have done all the ground work together, laid down the right foundation, now we together are going to see how something that started as a small vision the day after Caitlin was born, now nearly two years later, has like her, got up and is now setting off for adventures she never knew existed.
I have decided to separate the cottage industries project from One Mind One Voice for a number of reasons. Mainly because they are not yet up to where One Mind One Voice is- a world organisation.
With this in mind, I have called on a number of people who I feel have shown loyalty.
Something I treasure. Without Honesty and Loyalty things never get off the ground.
This group of people will be trustees of the One Mind One Voice Foundation we are now setting up. Together with my own business, I can once again be creative for me, something I have missed over may years of helping other people with their own creativity. I can still help people set up their cottage industries businesses if and when they need me.

The list of trustees includes.
Lew Wyvill QC, Patrick Byrt,Human Rights< Philip Levy Accountant, Christopher Williams England, Offir Nafkar Israel, Sayed Yahya Afghanistan, Colin Jones Indigenous Australia, Gary Crouch, Taipei, Mic Conway, a kid at heart, Sir Chris, (Comcen) Kerry Bowden, OAM Founder, Artist, poet, writer..
Caitlin is our Patron.

Having money would be nice and is the next project. But who can put a dollar value on the above list of people. They are what you gain with honesty and loyalty.
Thank you my friends.
As Philip Levy says          Crawl before you walk, Walk before you run.
I say           Clear a space - we are ready to take off.
On the website, there is a link to a photo of Ofir and one to his music. I am still waiting for a write up about himself from Yahya, who has finally send me a photo in fact he sent me a copy of his whole passport ( that's the sort of trust we have in each other) seeing his photo, being able to put a face to the man- a very good looking face like Ofir's. At the bottom of the passport it says, place of birth. Kabul! How lucky we are that he made it past 15 years of age. So many others from there have not. Yahya, I will keep a copy of your passport, so if you are ever one of the boat people, I can prove where you came from!.
People can achieve so much with No Faith, No race, No Hate.
