Statement of Purpose

One Mind One Voice   


   One Mind One Voice officially began on the 17 July 2002 When Kerry Bowden wrote the One Mind One Voice poem un-officially it started on the 24th November a few days before the birth of the Caitlin Jean (Angel of Good Fortune) on the 30th November 2000.

    On the first of December 2000, Caitlin’s Granma, Kerry appointed Caitlin as Minister for Vision and Hope in her Virtual Democracy Government www.queenslandgovernment.com with a promise to Caitlin that she would carry out the new Minister’s policy of wanting to grow up in a world like the one John Lennon sang about in his song "Imagine" a world of peace and non-violence for all children.

    One Mind One Voice is committed to making the Minister for Vision and Hope's policy a reality by thetime Caitlin turns 15 in the year 2015 to search for non-violent alternatives to conflict - and to addressing injustices which lie at the root of conflict.

Statement of Purpose

    One Mind One Voice. is an international, spiritually-based movement composed of people who, from the basis of a belief in the power of love and truth to create justice and restore community, commit themselves to active non-violence (Peace)as a way of life and as a means of transformation-personal, social, economic and political.

Elaboration of Principles

    Membership of One Mind One Voice is open to all who are grounded in an absolute respect for human life and dignity. One Mind One Voice respects religious and cultural diversity.

One Mind One Voice    Through its worldwide network of people, One Mind One Voice acts to promote a global culture of non-violence in the following ways:

through education and training in active non-violence (Peace), with special attention to deepening the understanding of non-violence in world religions;

through regional and international programs for women's, youth's and indigenous empowerment;

by informing a wider public about non-violence (peace) through its publications and serving as a resource centre;

through actions and campaigns in the field of disarmament;

by maintaining active relations with appropriate bodies of the UN and other institutions and organisations of like minds.

Members of the One Mind One Voice. network live out their commitment
to non-violence (peace) on different levels:

One Mind One Voice    by nurturing the seeds of peace in themselves while recognising their own violence and transforming it in the depths of their hearts;

by pursuing the way of the circle phylosophy simple life style respectful of nature and its resources;

by opposing war, armed conflict and their preparation and by proposing non-violent (peacefull) ways of solving conflicts as a viable alternative;

by standing in solidarity with those who are oppressed and exploited; by struggling against oppressive systems, racism, and sexism and entering into compassionate dialogue with those responsible for oppression;

by recognising the present economic system as a primary source of violence; and by promoting economic alternatives and just social systems.

To uphold the philosophy of the Way of the Circle which is our Bill of Rights to all humanity.
